10023 is the New 90210: CW Falls For Gossip Girl

Hey Gossip Girls the CW just announced Gossip Girl as part if their Fall line up. It’s Beverly Hills 90210 but with a 5th avenue zip code and a CW network address. We had hoped for a feature film and maybe that’s still on the agenda but for now get your fix this Fall on the CW network. What’s up with no Brenda in this pic? She must have been at the Peach Pit that day.

The series will star Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen. Blake’s big breakout was her role as the rapidly maturing Bridget. in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. And from the looks of things Blake seems to have the requisite over the shoulder,circa Lindsay Lohan, pose appropriately perfected. Nicely done. We’re still working on ours.

Is Serena va der Woodsen more Kelly Taylor or Brenda Walsh? What do you think of the casting choice for Serena?

Ooohh! Can’t even WAIT for this show to make its debut. It’s about time the East Coast got some lovin. Forget the Hills, Laguna Beach, 90210, Melrose and the OC…bring on Gossip Girl.
I think Blake Lively is perfect for the role of Serena. Even though I’ve only seen her in Accepted and Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, I think she’s got some major acting cred. She’s hard NOT to watch, so it should be fun to check her out in the new series. Can’t wait for a great cast, and even greater clothing!

I think Blake Lively makes an okay Serena, but not great. She’s just not heartstoppingly beautiful like Serena, and not so much so that she would be able to get everything she wants because of her appearance. But I think the choices overall for the show were bad. Blair is supposed to have blue eyes and a foxlike face, and be beautiful. Meester doesn’t really seem to fit the bill. And Jenny? She’s supposed to have dark brown, curly hair and a huge chest- her trademark, you could say. Instead, she has neither.

The pic on the right is the cast of 90210 thus the 10023 is the new 90210 reference. It was a show in the 80’s, similar to Gossip Girls, but much more wholesome, far less shallow and set on the West Coast. Oh and the clothes are so much cuter on Gossip Girls.

I agree with you lane, I don’t think blake should be serena! She doesn’t look like i thought serena would look like, at all! Vanessa is she in the serie? And Jenny don’t look like she supposed to do either! I think they should change acters! I don’t think that blake should play bridget in the sisterhood of the travelling pants either this sucks!
