Monday is the New Sunday: Big Love is Back!

In Television by Heidi Nyburg on Wednesday, May 16, 2007

Hooray! Our favorite show is back on the HBO schedule with new episodes beginning June 11th. If you haven’t seen Big Love, it’s like Eight is Enough but with polygamy.

The Fam

Combine seven kids, three wives and one viagra poppin’ husband and you have a recipe for delicious drama. The casting is perfection. Chloe Savigny as a shopaholic wife, Jennifer Goodwin as the babysitter turned youngest wife and Jeanne Tripplehorn as smokin’ hot “first wife” Barb.

Bill Paxton rounds out the cast as Bill Henrickson, the wife juggling patriarch of the ginormous brood. He spends his days running a chain of hardware stores and fending off attacks from the evil Roman Grant (brilliantly portrayed by Harry Dean Stanton), ruler of polygamy mountain. Papa Henrickson spends his nights rotating among the three houses he shares with his wives and children. Oh and his lunch hours are spent planning secret “meetings” with first wife Barb much to the dismay of the other wives. Uh yeah Bill Henirickson’s a busy guy.

Clearly the Yahoo! program raters haven’t seen the show ’cause it’s strictly grown-up fare.

Oh my word….thought I was going to have to hang in Utah, be with the ‘people’ in wait for Big Love to return…They got it all; hot chicks, a nest full of kids and one semi-attractive bread winner. Aint bad….xo
