Stumbled Upon: Bullet With Your Name On It.

In StumbledUpon by Heidi Nyburg on Wednesday, May 23, 2007

We blame you: Matt Caverhill at Culture Kills, for our newfound addiction to StumbleUpon. Thanks. Thanks a lot. No we mean it. We haven’t had this much fun since Season 6 of the Flintstones was released on DVD. That might not be the best example but we happen to live for the the Flintstones. Please don’t judge us.

If you haven’t used StumbleUpon, it’s a bookmarking site where you can submit sites that amuse you or teach you or are just swell in general, layercake.net for example. StumbleUpon approves (or denies) the sites, catalogs the submissions and serves up what they claim are “the weirdest, funniest, most interesting and most useful sites on the net”. We likey. But you see until now we’ve only been submitting websites to StumbleUpon. Over the weekend though we broke down and finally installed the StumbleUpon widget. And like some bizarre, modern day Pavlovian experiment we have single handedly made a case for internet conditioned response. Click the button, get the website, laugh. So now from time to time we will be submitting to you our StumbleUpons. It’s like stumbled upon StumbleUpons only better because we will serve up the absolute best of the best and most relevant with frosting. See how we are saving you from a life spent on the streets suffering from your own addiction? Unlike Matt who is personally responsible for the lack of productivity around the Cake the past couple of days.

Send some to the ones you love. Or to the person who stopped your Tivo recording. Or to the person who borrowed your Hudson jeans and didn’t return them. Or to Matt.

Fixed. You see, that is why I love coffee. It makes the things you know come out in little packages of correctness. Coffee first. Work later.

I just can’t get enough of Stumble Upon. Have you tried out the video channel, I’ve never had as much fun surfing YouTube.
