We’ve been tagged! By a meme! Twice! First we were tagged by Samurai Frog from the pop culturetastic Electronic Cerebrectomy and we whined our way out of it. And now, we’ve been tagged again, this time by Steve at the always educational How to Split an Atom. So we figure it’s time to come out of our shell and face the Meme music. This should provide some satisfaction to the hordes of 3 people who click the About Layercake link.

This one is titled “8 Things About Me” and since this is a pop culture flavored website, we’re keeping it on the pop culture tip, if you will. And, we’re even going to write in the first person singular, just like we did back in the day!

8 Things About Me

#1  My favorite cartoon character: Fred Flintstone. He’s the original Homer Simpson, hapless, self absorbed and usually in a fair amount of trouble. Flintstooooonnnnne!!!! (say it in a Mr. Slate yelly voice)

#2  I love movies, so much so that I spent nearly 5 years working as an analyst and then a product manager for a little start up called Netflix. On my first day, they gave me a DVD player and the first DVD I bought got with a 3 free coupon code was Pretty Woman.

#3  I wish I could draw. I always wanted to take the Art Instruction School Free Art test that used to run on the back page of my Grandmother’s magazines.

I never took the test because I knew my turtle would look something like this:

#4  I subscribe to a ridiculous number of magazines.

#5  Favorite television show : Big Love. Favorite television show in syndication: Seinfeld.

#6   Favorite Brand Mascot, 3 way tie: 1) The Quick (Nesquik) Bunny because my main thrill in life as a child was any flavor Quik beverage, but especially chocolate. 2) Tony the Tiger even though his voice is too grown up. 3) Jack from Jack in the Box. I don’t eat there but he’s snarky and he’s a snappy dresser.

#7 Is my favorite number.

#8  Recycling makes me happy.
