Making passes at cartoons who wear glasses

Sometimes advertising campaigns are good. Really good. This ad for a Belgian optician, by LG&F makes us want to play librarian. We’re book smart like that.

Awesome find. The bottom line is that contacts are for nerds. Long live glasses!

Finally, a smart and witty ad that doesn’t make you feel dumb for liking it. People who wear glasses rule! ;)

Well, I guess the ads says it all…just wearing an eye glasses make you really different, so I guess I have to start wearing now…hehehe

I really love those images. Just goes to show you how easily people’s perceptions can be changed. Also says something about society too and how quick we are to make an instant judgment or assessment of someone just by looking at them.

This is an extremely funny ad cartoon. The real advantage it has over much of the humorous ads is that it is relevant to the field. It will be hard for people to forget that company, but i would have kept their logo much larger.

It’s really funny how society associates glasses with personality type. I’m lucky I don’t have to wear glasses…though I’m sure it won’t be much longer till I do because of all the time I spend looking at my computer.

Marketing can certainly take an interesting perspective. I think if done right, marketing campaigns shock, impress or surprise us. Or like in your case, they make us laugh out loud. Thanks for the entertainment.

I like the Dr. Professor one the best. I do think people look a lot different in glasses. The weird part is when they take them off though – people look tired!
