I know that Madonna's shock factor doesn't quite have the same impact that it once did. (There is only so much you can do before people become acclimatised). Hard Candy and the obvious sexual connotations are not quite as strong as her previous antics! However, I don't think her new album is as good as the preceding ones. As for collapsing on stage. I don't think that really has anything to do with her age as such. It has more to do with trying to prove she can still do it at 51. It was this that probably led her to do too much on stage. She did more strenuous stage-work on the Hard Candy tour than for all the other tours combined. (Hopefully, that made some sense.) Still one of the great pop icons.
