More Sex and the City that is!

Newline Cinema released a new longer and more telling trailer for Sex and the City! Spoiler alert, this is more like a trailer than a teaser so it gives away multiple plot lines. And it’s delish!!!!

Totally loving the Get Carried Away tag line but where are the rest of the girls? Hopefully there will be more versions of the poster, one for each girl? Samantha is going to be pissed!  We’re already planning our opening night festivities. Can’t wait!

Horton is coming to the big screen via 20th Century Fox and we are so excited! The casting is amazing! Jim Carrey as Horton, Steve Carell as the Mayor of Who-Ville and Amy Poehler as his lovely wife.

Also cast in this Suessical slice of cinema (totally counts as alliteration) Carol Burnet, Dane Cook, Will Arnet, Seth Rogen and Isla Fisher. Here is a peek at the animation. It’s really lush. We love it.

If you don’t have time to stand in line, have no fear, there are plenty of entrepreneurial scammers out there who will do it for you. We like the last guy coming in wearing his super hero cape to prevent the evil-line-waiters from duping unsuspecting iPhone buyers.

Film: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Popcorn Worthy: Only if there are Milk Duds involved. We love special effects and seeing them on the big screen is obviously mandatory. But quite frankly when it comes to super hero movies, we’re more excited about the action figures. So we’re not even going to talk about the movie. We have provided the trailer but more importantly let’s have a look at the toys.

The toys: If we were basing our decision as to wether or not to see Fantastic Four Rise of Sliver Surfer solely on the toy release for the film, we would NOT be seeing the movie, ever. As usual Hasbro disappoints with their prehistoric idea of what action figures should be. Fantastic Four figures are typically not very well articulated, don’t have many accessories and are usually ugly and this series lives up to that expectation. We’re only posting one figure. It’s complete ass.

Film: Nancy Drew

Popcorn worthy: Yes, please. Nancy Drew to the rescue! Nancy Drew is finally here, and we can’t wait to see it! A Clueless and Scooby-Do Mashup starring Emma Roberts (Daughter of Eric, niece of Julia) as Nancy Drew. It looks really cute and Emma Roberts is really talented and she’s perfect for this role. We are are totally planning on wearing our most responsible looking ensemble with some penny loafers of course.

Film: DOA: Dead or Alive

Popcorn Worthy: Uh, no. We’re not even going to pretend to be remotely interested in seeing this Barbarella meets Karate Kid piece of crap. Oh and note to the producers, DOA is the acronym for Dead on Arrival, not Dead or Alive. Meh.

We’re not even posting the DOA trailer. Instead we’re posting this awesomely awesome video by Dead or Alive which is certainly far better than DOA the movie. And it features a pirate. Spin it.

Film: Ocean’s 13

Popcorn Worthy?: Uh, hell yeah.

The boys are back in town and it’s time for sweet revenge. The thing we like best about this one, aside from the hotness, Elin Barkins smoky voice and Eddie Izzard, is the fact that the grand revenge heist takes place on the opening night of Willy Bank’s brand new casino. Willy’s gonna be so pissed and he has earned the pain, big time! Some trivia about the movie, Steven Soderbergh filmed all of Al Pacino’s scenes in three weeks. How cool would it beif you could go to your boxx and say “Hey, I’m just gonna do all of my work for the quarter, in three weeks. See you next quarter”. Then you could go open your own casino. Oh and there’s an Oprah Winfrey cameo. Random.

Note: We love every line that comes out of Brad Pitt’s mouth in this film.

Film: Surf’s Up

Popcorn Worthy: If you like the Penguins, whether they’re saving the environment one soda ring choker at a time or inventing surfing, this one’s for you. We are not the biggest fans of the penguin genre, however, we would never deprive you of a trailer this chock full of PenGooEns. Know this going in, Cody’s a total responsibility shirker. And this movie would have been better as live action so we could stare at Kelly Slater, out of his animated Kelly penguin form.
